GD names majoritarian candidates for by-elections slated for April 2
The ruling Georgian Dream (GD) party on Wednesday nominated majoritarian candidates for by-elections slated for April 2, 2022, in Rustavi and Batumi.
In today’s press point, GD Chair Irakli Kobakhidze named Irakli Shatakishvili as GD candidate in Rustavi and Gardabani municipalities, while Ramaz Jincharadze as a majoritarian candidate for the Batumi City Council (Sakrebulo).
According to the Central Election Commission (CEC), voters on April 2 this year will elect a majoritarian member of parliament in Rustavi and a majoritarian member of the city council (Sakrebulo) in Batumi.
