“Changing the order of addends does not change the sum. This axiom applies to the question about the unified list of the opposition, be it the unified list or separately presented. The opposition on the radicalism path is doomed to fiasco,” said Davit Matikashvili, the ruling Georgian Dream (GD) party member.
According to Matikashvili, the opposition will be defeated in the October 26 parliamentary elections.
“It will be better if a unified list is presented because it will be even more perceptible to the voters whom not to support. Because the radical opposition, which is already united by a common sign and cover though formally divided, if it is presented in a unified list, it will suggest the voters whom they should not support. If presented separately, those political forces will face the same failure as those split and divided in the radical United National Movement space,” Matikashvili said.
