GD Chair meets French Ambassador to Georgia

Chairman of the Georgian Dream (GD) party, Irakli Garibashvili on Thursday met with the French Ambassador to Georgia, Sheraz Gasri.

According to the GD press office, the meeting covered the existing friendly relations between Georgia and France and the prospects of future cooperation.

“Irakli Garibashvili thanked the French ambassador for her strong support for Georgia’s sovereignty and territorial integrity, as well as the non-recognition policy. GD Chair anew expressed his gratitude for France’s strong support in the process of granting Georgia the EU candidate status.

The importance of strengthening political and economic ties between France and Georgia was also emphasized. The duo talked about the political situation in Georgia and current regional events. The importance of peace and stability was underscored,” reads the statement.
