GD chair hopeful to reach common grounds on electoral reform

Chairman of the ruling Georgian Dream party, Irakli Kobakhidze, hopes the sides will manage to reconcile common grounds on the electoral reform package.

According to him, new changes leaves no chance for any manipulation.

“We reconciled our positions essentially. Consultations continue. I think we will be able to reach common views about this package.

Based on changes, the representation of the opposition in the election administration increases at all three levels. The mechanism of recounting the precincts is introduced. Thus, the chance of any manipulation is zero,” Kobakhidze said.
