GD Chair: Ex-President Saakashvili died 600 times in 600 days and now returns to politics

“Mikheil Saakashvili died 600 times in 600 days before returning to politics. This is a topic fraught with irony. They have drained society in 600 days and want to start again,” said Irakli Kobakhidze, Chair of the ruling Georgian Dream (GD) party.

Saakashvili must serve his prison term “worthily,” according to Irakli Kobakhidze.

“The only thing the family needs to do is up the calorie count. It is wrong to lose weight artificially and continue to speculate. They kept us in the dark for 600 days, telling us this man was dying. The Strasbourg Court issued its decision, and it appears that he is no longer dying but will return to politics,” Kobakhidze went on to say, adding that twisting the Saakashvili issue is inappropriate.
