Chair of the ruling Georgian Dream party, Irakli Kobakhidze, expressed his criticism of the recent statement by the Ukrainian Rada. He voiced his concerns over what he perceives as interference in Georgian internal affairs by the Ukrainian authorities, deeming it unacceptable.
“This kind of attitude is regrettable, though the Georgian authorities maintain a one-sided friendship with Ukraine. Unfortunately, we see that there is an attempt to interfere in our country’s affairs, which is simply wrong.
Unfortunately, we do not see a friendly attitude from the Ukrainian authorities, but Georgia will continue with its regime of one-sided friendship,” he remarked.
The Ukrainian Rada prepared a draft resolution appealing to Salome Zourabichvili and EU parliaments regarding the pardon and transfer of Saakashvili for medical treatment.
