GD Chair calls for calm and election focus

“Parties should focus on preparing for and participating in the elections,” said Irakli Garibashvili, Chair of the ruling Georgian Dream party.

He emphasized that any form of violence is condemnable.

“I condemn violence in any form. Although the ‘National Movement’ remains the primary violent organization in the country, it is disheartening to witness such incidents. I believe the society now needs calm and stability. Political parties should concentrate on preparing for and participating in the elections. The current polarization and tension in the country are detrimental. It is essential to calm down and express opinions in a civilized manner. If these individuals genuinely aspire to bring about change and align with European values, they must first change their attitude and rhetoric, and focus on preparing for the elections,” said Garibashvili.
