GD Chair believes Georgia likely to get EU candidate status in December

Georgia is likely to be granted EU candidate status in December, said Irakli Kobakhidze, Chairman of the ruling Georgian Dream (GD) party.

“Expectations regarding the status have improved, we have more grounds for optimism, and practically, this decision is already maturing.

The fact that some people are trying to attribute it to themselves shows that this is where the process heads. With a very high probability, we will be granted candidate status in December,” he said.
