Gakharia for Georgia's Beka Liluashvili announces retirement from politics
Beka Liluashvili, a member of the Gakharia for Georgia party, has announced his departure from the political arena, signalling his intention to dedicate himself to the private sector.
In a social media post, Liluashvili shared:
“After many years immersed in public policy and political activity, I am, with the dawn of the New Year, officially closing this significant chapter of my life. I am now preparing to focus on my work in the private sector.
I am deeply grateful for the invaluable experience, the sense of responsibility, and the trust I have been privileged to receive during my time in Georgia’s public and political sphere.
A heartfelt thank you to those who offered me this opportunity and/or made me feel supported along the way. These years have taught me more than I could have ever imagined about the country, its people, and myself.
My current professional focus is on the private sector: technology, digital transformation, finance, and economics. I firmly believe that enduring and sustainable change also stems from building strong companies and supporting sectors that foster economic growth.
This, however, does not mean I am abandoning public interests; those principles remain the foundation of my values. I will continue to champion the interests of our state and society, now from a different vantage point.
Thank you to everyone who has been part of this journey. A new chapter lies ahead!”
