The Gakharia for Georgia party neither confirms nor denies whether their leader, Giorgi Gakharia, was granted a residence permit in Germany.

The party member Tamar Kekenadze was asked if Giorgi Gakharia requested the opening of a bank account with German banks.

“The only thing I can confirm is that Giorgi Gakharia is paying a working visit to the European Union,” she said.

Tamar Kekenadze could not specify either where the party leader would continue political activities or planned to return to Georgia.

“The society will learn about when he arrives in Georgia, how he will continue the political activities, which serve rescuing the country’s European future, be it active engagement in election campaign or holding working visits in the EU, from Giorgi Gakharia personally in the near future,” she said.
