“Negotiations regarding the Tbilisi mayoral candidate are ongoing. Giorgi Sharashidze, a representative of our team, is among the candidates being considered,” stated Rusudan Tevzadze, a member of the Political Council of the Gakharia for Georgia party.

Tevzadze emphasised that the Lelo and Gakharia for Georgia parties continue to collaborate closely to gather public feedback to select a candidate who is broadly acceptable to society.

“We are conducting targeted field polls as part of our efforts to identify a candidate who resonates with the wider public. Our questionnaires involve asking the population who they would prefer to see as the next mayor. I can confirm that Giorgi Sharashidze is among the potential candidates, although the list is not limited solely to his name,” Tevzadze explained.
