French FM: Withdrawal of controversial ‘foreign influence’ draft law was necessary

French Foreign Minister Catherine Colonna welcomes the ruling Georgian Dream party’s decision to withdraw both draft laws on “Transparency of Foreign Influence.”

“The withdrawal of the controversial draft law was necessary. On 18 February, I called on my Georgian colleague to continue his efforts to strengthen the rule of law, which is necessary to bring the country closer to the EU candidate status,” Colonna tweeted.
