French Embassy in Georgia: Georgia shone bright last night, might is right

The French Embassy in Georgia congratulated the Georgian basketball team on reaching the EuroBasket 2025 quarter-finals and the football team on their victory over Bulgaria.

Congratulations on the historic qualification of their national team for the EuroBasket 2025 quarter-finals, as well as to Jvarosnebi for their excellent victory against Bulgaria in the 2026 World Cup qualifiers!
Might is right,” the embassy posted on its Facebook page.

Notably, Georgia’s basketball team defeated tournament favourites France 80-70 in the round of 16, marking a historic milestone. Meanwhile, the national football team triumphed over Bulgaria 3-0 in the second round of World Cup qualifying.
