French Ambassador: We want to support Georgian authorities on EU path

Sheraz Gasri, Ambassador of France to Georgia on Thursday said, “We want Georgia and Georgian authorities to come back on the EU path.”

“So, I can detail every GEL that we are spending in this country and look at whether it’s going to be stopped or not, but it’s not the purpose of everything that we are doing today,” Sheraz Gasri told reporters.

“We want to support Georgia. We want to support Georgian authorities on the EU path and, everything that Georgian authorities are doing has consequences. So, we have to make assessments based on what Georgian authorities do. We hope that Georgia will resume, as soon as possible, its race towards Europe,” the Ambassador added.
