French Ambassador condemns attempted land transfer to Russia in Abkhazia

Any decision undermining the territorial integrity of Georgia, such as the attempt to transfer land in Abkhazia to Russia, is illegal, null and void, the French Ambassador to Georgia, Sheraz Gasri, wrote on Twitter.

“France supports the territorial integrity and sovereignty of Georgia within its internationally recognized borders. Any decision undermining the territorial integrity of Georgia, such as the attempt to transfer land in Abkhazia to Russia, is illegal, null and void,” the Ambassador tweeted.

The so-called parliament of the occupied Abkhazian region ratified the agreement on the transfer of the Bichvinta summer house to the Russian Federation.
