Free Trade Agreement between Georgia and member states of the European Free Trade Association (EFTA) has been activated starting today.
According to Ministry of Economy and Sustainable Development, the agreement allows allocation of Georgian products without tariff barriers on consumer markets and comprises the following: trade with goods, services, sanitary norms, cooperation in customs affairs, intellectual property, state purchasing and competitiveness.
Free Trade Agreement between Georgia and EFTA was signed on June 27, 2016 in Bern city of Swiss Confederation within the framework of Europe’s Free Trade Association Ministerial.
