Free flu vaccinations available for all citizens starting November 4

The Ministry of Health of Georgia announced that beginning November 4, seasonal influenza vaccinations will be free of charge for all citizens nationwide. The immunization program will use a four-component vaccine developed by Abbott Biologicals B.V., one of the World Health Organization’s recommended vaccines.

According to the Ministry, the vaccine has been formulated to protect against the flu strains anticipated this season.

In the initial phase of the program, over 37,000 individuals from high-risk groups have already received the vaccine. Now available to the general public, vaccinations are accessible from six months of age at participating medical institutions.
