Four soldiers repatriated from the occupied Abkhazia region of Georgia were buried with Military Honor at Brothers’ Cemetery on Saturday.

Civil funeral of 13 bodies repatriated from the occupied Abkhazia region was held at the Sameba (Holy Trinity) Cathedral in Tbilisi.

Georgian Prime Minister Irakli Garibashvili and governmental members commemorated the deceased Georgian citizens killed and missing since Georgia-Abkhazia military hostilities in the 1990s.

The identified persons (6 soldiers and 7 civilians) were repatriated to Georgia on April 22.

The first repatriation of missing citizens’ bodies took place in 2013.
