Foreign Relations Committee Chair meets Uzbekistan's Legislative Chamber Chair on International Affairs

The Chair of the Foreign Relations Committee, Nikoloz Samkharadze, met with the Chair of the Committee on International Affairs and Inter-parliamentary Relations of the Legislative Chamber of the Parliament of Uzbekistan, Dilorom Fayzieva.

The discussions revolved around existing parliamentary relations between the two countries and strategies to enhance collaboration.

Both sides emphasized the significance of strengthening cooperation in international parliamentary assemblies and exploring opportunities for deeper collaboration in trade, economy, energy, culture, and tourism.

The Uzbekistan delegation expressed an interest in Georgia’s reforms related to elections, anti-corruption, energy, and sharing experience in these areas.

The meeting discussed the plans for the upcoming visit of the parliamentary delegation led by the Georgian Parliament Speaker to Uzbekistan next year.
