Foreign Relations Committee Chair meets Special Representative of OSCE Chairperson-in-Office for South Caucasus
Chair of the Foreign Relations Committee Nikoloz Samkharadze met the Special Representative of the OSCE Chairperson-in-Office for the South Caucasus, Ambassador Christoph Späti.
According to the Parliament’s press service, the meeting focused on the current developments in the South Caucasus and the situation in the occupied Abkhazia and Tskhinvali regions.
During the meeting, Nikoloz Samkharadze spoke about the policy of the Georgian government regarding the occupied regions.
The parties also reviewed the 66th round of the Geneva International Discussions and its outcomes.
“The main issue discussed during the meeting with the Special Representative of the OSCE Chairperson-in-Office for the South Caucasus, Christoph Späti, was the occupied regions. We talked about the 66th round of the Geneva International Discussions held on March 18–19 and once again emphasized the importance of the Geneva talks for the Georgian side,” said Nikoloz Samkharadze following the meeting.
