The Chair of the Foreign Relations Committee, Nikoloz Samkharadze, met with the Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of Bosnia and Herzegovina, Josip Brkić, the Parliament reported.

The parties discussed the existing relations between the two countries and emphasized the importance of promoting bilateral cooperation between Georgia and Bosnia and Herzegovina in all key areas, including the development of a partnership at the interparliamentary level.

During the meeting, regional security issues in the Western Balkans and the Black Sea region were reviewed, as well as Russia’s ongoing aggression in Ukraine and its consequences.

Nikoloz Samkharadze spoke about the grave situation in Georgia’s regions occupied by Russia.

One of the main topics of discussion during the meeting with the Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of Bosnia and Herzegovina was the EU integration process of the two countries, as well as existing challenges.
