Foreign Relations Committee Chair meets American Congressmen

Nikololoz Samkharadze, Chair of the Georgian Parliamentary Foreign Relations Committee, and his team met American Congressman from the House Foreign Affairs Committee, Jim Costa, Keith Self and William Keating, within the framework of the official visit to the US.

At the meeting, the parties discussed the prospects for the deepening of the Georgia-US strategic partnership, Russia’s occupation of Georgia’s territories and the significance of Georgia’s integration into the EU and NATO.

Special attention was paid to the security challenges in the South Caucasus region and the importance of Georgia in promoting regional stability and peace.

The Foreign Relations Committee delegation comprises Chair Nikoloz Samkharadze, Deputy Chair Davit Zilpimiani and a member Ramaz Nikolaishvili.
