A reception hall and a centre providing consular services to Georgian and foreign citizens opened in the new Foreign Affairs Ministry facility at 3 Leonidze Street in Tbilisi.
Opening the centre, Foreign Minister Ilia Darchiashvili praised foreign partners and donor organizations for their support of the ministry’s institutional improvement initiatives.
According to Ilia Darchiashvili, Georgia has 74 consular facilities globally, including 60 consular centres, 12 general consulates, and one interests section.
In addition, the website www.geoconsul.gov.ge is being upgraded in order to facilitate and improve service quality.
