Foreign Committee delegation meets NED President, Chair

The delegation of the Georgian parliamentary Foreign Relations Committee, led by Chair Nikoloz Samkharadze met the President and Chairman of the National Endowment for Democracy (NED) Damon Wilson and Kenneth Wollack within the framework of the official visit to the US.

At the meeting, the sides reviewed security challenges in the South Caucasus region, Russia’s occupation of Georgia’s territories, US-Georgia relations, the upcoming 2024 parliamentary elections, and the draft On Transparency of Foreign Influence.

The Georgian delegation focused on Georgia’s EU integration process and the significance of opening negotiations on accession for the country.

The Foreign Relations Committee delegation comprises Chair Nikoloz Samkharadze, Deputy Chair Davit Zilpimiani and a member Ramaz Nikolaishvili.
