For Georgia’s Sharashidze: ‘Dream’ is taking advantage of Garibashvili’s struggle to save himself

“It is difficult for me to believe that Irakli Garibashvili had no facts whatsoever and used a person’s tragic death for political purposes. If that is the case, there is nothing more to comment on,” Giorgi Sharashidze, a lawmaker from the For Georgia party, said.

According to Sharashidze, Garibashvili is focused on protecting himself and his own future.

“I find it difficult to believe, but based on what is emerging so far, that appears to be the case. If you do not have information and cannot cooperate with the investigation, why would you make such a serious allegation? Garibashvili has to answer these questions,” Sharashidze said.

“Unfortunately, Garibashvili is thinking about saving his own skin and his own fate. Whether he is handling this correctly or making mistakes is for him to decide, and we will see what happens,” he added.

Sharashidze also accused the ruling Georgian Dream party of taking advantage of the situation.

“Unfortunately, Georgian Dream is benefiting from all of this. Today, there are numerous challenges, starting with the occupation and extending to the economy, yet the first question being asked is about this issue,” Sharashidze said.
