For Georgia party shares ruling party's aspirations about family values

“I share the aspiration of the ruling party about family values; however, our team – the team of Giorgi Gakharia – require higher support from the state for the enhancement of the Georgian families,” said Shalva Kereselidze, a member of the Parliamentary Political Group For Georgia at the universal-public consideration of the Draft Constitutional Laws in Zugdidi.

According to him, historically, family and the institution of a family stand as a strong spine of the state.

“Family values for the Georgian men are of particular meaning. Ultimately, these values lie through the individuals and each family has its own values. It is admissible that the applicable law shall reflect the amendments in different forms to facilitate the protection of the Georgian families. Georgia enters every new year without natural demographic growth; the mortality index exceeds the birth rate. People get married more and more rarely, while the migration index is increased – the citizens who are supposed to contribute to the building of the state, leave the country.

The Georgian genetic fund is aging, there are over 200 villages neglected or nearly neglected. I represent one of the regions that encounter these acute problems. Let’s discuss the solutions. The Constitution provides an excellent record that the Georgian government ensures the facilitation of the demographic situation,” he stated.
