FM Zalkaliani: Georgia strong supporter of Ukraine in int'l formats
“Georgia categorically decried Russia’s premeditated aggression against Ukraine, which grossly breaches the norms of international law and undermines the international order and the architecture of European security,” Foreign Minister David Zalkaliani stated Wednesday at a press point with Zbigniew Rau, the Chairman-in-Office of the Organisation for Security and Co-operation in Europe and Poland’s Minister for Foreign Affairs.
FM Zalkaliani stressed, “Georgia is a strong supporter of Ukraine in all international formats.”
“Georgia supports Ukraine’s sovereignty and territorial integrity within its internationally recognized borders, as evidenced by Georgia’s position in all international formats, including the OSCE, where Georgia firmly adheres to the international community’s coordinated and consolidated stance over Ukraine,” Georgian FM asserted.
FM Zalkaliani underscored that the Georgian Government backed the extension of the mandate of the OSCE Special Monitoring Mission in Ukraine and appreciated the contribution of the OSCE Chairman-in-Office to the mission.
