Georgian Foreign Minister Maka Botchorishvili said that her recent meeting with US Secretary of State Marco Rubio provided a very important opportunity to discuss Georgia–US relations with top American officials.

Botchorishvili noted she expects that there will be some clarity in US-Georgia relations.

“On the one hand, it is a fact that we share the position that relations with Georgia should be reviewed and that some new elements should be introduced. We expect that Georgia will soon be prioritized on the agenda of the new US administration, and that this will bring clarity on how Georgia and the US will conduct their relations,” Botchorishvili said.
