FM vows Georgia to be among priority issues on US-Russia agenda

Georgian Foreign Minister David Zalkaliani pledges the government spares no effort to put Georgia among priority issues on the US-Russia agenda. By doing so, Minister said he would not accept backlash from opponents.

FM Zalkaliani believes international partners’ support towards Georgia is unprecedented. Minister echoed the Biden-Putin Geneva Summit saying the United States would hardly ignore its allies, including Georgia.

“Georgia maybe was not mentioned by a name, but I am sure Georgia will be on the US-Russian agenda now and in the future,” Zalkaliani added.

US President Joe Biden and his Russian counterpart Vladimir Putin held a face-to-face meeting on Wednesday. Biden outlined the US interests, including cybersecurity, and said that the United States would respond if Russia defies those concerns.
