Georgian Foreign Minister Ilia Darchiashvili is paying a visit to the Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan. He met Ayman Safadi, a Jordanian Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs.
The parties reviewed friendly relations between Jordan and Georgia, and regional developments and highlighted the need to intensify cooperation in economy, tourism and trade.
The Ministers stressed the significance of introducing a visa-free travel regime that would give additional impetus to people-to-people relations.
Georgian FM expressed his gratitude to his Jordanian counterpart for allocating a land plot along the Jordan River for the Georgian cultural centre’s construction. He also appreciated Jordan’s steadfast support for Georgia’s territorial integrity and sovereignty.
In addition, Darchiashvili extended a formal invitation to King Abdullah II bin Al-Hussein of Jordan to visit Georgia.
