FM urges opposition not to imperil Georgia's European, "our common," future
“Georgia’s EU integration is our common future. I urge you not to threaten it with your words if you cannot contribute to it,” said Georgian Minister of Foreign Affairs Ilia Darchiashvili in an address to the opposition when reporting to the parliament in interpellation rule.
As Ilia Darchiashvili underscored, Georgia’s European integration is vitally significant.
“I want to express my regret. Today, I heard from the Parliament floor that the reforms in Georgia have failed. I urge you not to use this term for at least 3-4 months because Georgia is entering a crucial process. Our European integration is vitally important for our country. Do not harm this process with your statements and assessments because Georgia’s European future is our common future. I urge you not to threaten it with words if you cannot contribute,” the FM said.
