FM says Bulgarian Parliament’s declaration ‘bold’ demonstration of support for Georgia

“Yet another bold demonstration of our friends’ support for Georgia,” said Georgian Foreign Minister Ilia Darchiashvili after the National Assembly of Bulgaria adopted a declaration in favor of granting Georgia EU candidate status.

“It’s especially exciting that such an important decision was made during my visit to beautiful Sofia. We greatly appreciate your support! Together, we pave the way for a brighter, united future!” he tweeted.

“Bulgaria will continue to strongly support Georgia’s path to EU integration,” said the country’s FM Mariya Gabriel following her meeting with a Georgian colleague.
