FM says Borrell's visit to Georgia brings new impetus to Georgia-EU relations
Georgian Foreign Minister Ilia Darchiashvili says EU High Representative Josep Borrell’s visit to Georgia “will bring a new impetus to Georgia-EU relations.”
“We will get the chance to fully brief him on the extensive effort completed in order to implement EC recommendations.
Regional security will also get special attention. Borell’s visit is a particular message that the European Union places a high importance on maintaining peace and security in our region,” Georgian FM noted.
The EU High Representative/Vice-President, Josep Borrell, has arrived in Georgia today for an official visit. During the visit, the High Representative will meet with Georgian President Salome Zourabichvili, and Prime Minister Irakli Garibashvili.
