Georgian Prime Minister Irakli Gharibashvili will deliver a speech at the panel discussion of the Munich Security Conference (MSC) on Saturday.
According to Foreign Minister Ilia Darchiashvili, the PM is planned to speak about Georgia’s intention to play a pivotal role in European energy security, diversification process of Europe’s supply with energy resources and the country’s role in the Black Sea underwater electric cable project.
“In a new geopolitical reality and amid fresh challenges where energy security is one of the key directions, Georgia has acquired a new role and function,” Darchiashvili said.
Ilia Darchiashvili further said that the PM would hold meetings with leaders of the EU countries to accentuate the need of their mobilization so that Georgia could get the EU candidate status in Autumn.
