FM meets North Macedonian Assembly President

Georgian Vice Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Maka Botchorishvili met with the President of the Assembly of North Macedonia, Afrim Gashi, who is on an official visit to Georgia.

According to Georgia’s MFA, the sides reviewed regional developments and discussed relations with the European Union, including the EU’s enlargement policy.

Botchorishvili highlighted the importance of strengthening cooperation with the countries of the Western Balkans, both in terms of political dialogue and trade and economic ties. The parties also underscored the significance of parliamentary cooperation.

Gashi’s bilateral official visit to Georgia coincides with his participation in the plenary session of the Parliamentary Assembly of the Black Sea Economic Cooperation.
