Georgian Foreign Minister Ilia Darchiashvili met with the Chinese International Department of the Central Committee Deputy Minister Chen Zhou and his delegation.
At the meeting, the sides spoke about a wide spectre of bilateral and multilateral cooperation in politics, trade, economy, tourism, culture and humanitarian spheres.
The meeting focused on the new opportunities of the strategic partnership between Georgia and China established last year, including one of its tangible results, the visa-free regime agreement signed between the two countries on April 10, 2024.
The Chinese side reconfirmed support for Georgia’s sovereignty and territorial integrity within its internationally recognized borders. Ilia Darchiashvili emphasized Georgia’s firm and consistent stance in support of the United China principle.
