FM highlights Georgia’s economic achievements and its role in regional connectivity, garnering int'l support
“It is crucial for us that Georgia’s accomplishments are accurately showcased on the international stage and that the progress our country has made is clearly communicated,” stated Georgian Foreign Minister Maka Botchorishvili during her participation in the 4th UN International Conference in Spain.
According to the minister, the visit also offers a valuable opportunity to discuss issues of importance to Georgia with representatives from various countries.
“We had a productive discussion with representatives from different nations regarding Georgia’s policy of non-recognition in occupied territories. Recently, we participated in a UN vote on a resolution concerning internally displaced persons. In this context, international support from our partners is vital. Such forums provide an excellent platform to engage with our partners about this support.
I also met with the head of the World Trade Organisation. Our cooperation in this forum has spanned 25 years, and it is essential to deepen and expand this partnership across multiple areas. Our partners are keenly interested in Georgia’s economic achievements, the progress we have made, and the significant role Georgia plays in fostering regional connectivity,” the minister emphasised.
