FM: Gov't launches special flight from Oman to bring 170 Georgians home
“A special flight from Oman to Georgia will operate today, carrying approximately 170 Georgian citizens who wish to return home, the Georgian government has decided,” stated Maka Botchorishvili, Minister of Foreign Affairs of Georgia.
Botchorishvili stated that the flight provides Georgian citizens with the opportunity to return safely if they choose to do so.
“Due to the ongoing developments in the Middle East, the airspace of several countries is closed, and Georgian citizens in the region are facing travel disruptions. Therefore, the Government of Georgia has decided to organize special flights from countries where airspace remains open. Accordingly, today one flight will operate from Oman to Georgia, which will be used by about 170 Georgian citizens who wish to return home. This decision gives our citizens the opportunity, if they decide and wish, to return safely to their homeland,” Botchorishvili said.
