Georgian Foreign Minister Ilia Darchiashvili said, “European partners see Georgia’s progress, efforts, and determination to ensure Georgia gets EU candidate status,” noting “the mood is very positive.”
Alluding to Prime Minister Irakli Garibashvili’s meetings in Brussels, the FM went on to say that later today, the PM would address the audience at a Georgia-organized event celebrating the country’s National Day.
Darchiashvili asserted that “today’s event is also important from a cultural point of view. We officially announce the opening of Europalia, slated for October. This, I believe, is very much lined up with the procedure of obtaining EU candidate status.”
