FM Botchorishvili to attend international conference on Ukraine at invitation of Canadian FM

Georgian Vice Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Maka Botchorishvili, at the invitation of the Canadian Foreign Minister, will participate on September 28-29 in an event titled Pathways to Peace: The Second International Conference on the Return of Ukrainian Children, Detained Civilians and Prisoners of War.

The Foreign Minister is also scheduled to hold bilateral meetings on the sidelines of the conference.

According to Salome Kurasbediani, Georgia’s Ambassador to Canada, Botchorishvili will address conference participants and meet with her Canadian counterpart.

“Today, an international conference on Ukraine is being held in Toronto, organized by Canada, with foreign ministers from various countries attending. At the official invitation of the Canadian Foreign Minister, Georgia’s Foreign Minister Maka Botchorishvili is also participating in the conference.

“As part of the conference, she will address the participants, and a meeting will also be held with her Canadian counterpart. Naturally, this meeting is important for further deepening the high-level political dialogue and relations between the two countries.

“In general, our country is a strong supporter of Ukraine’s sovereignty and territorial integrity, and Georgia’s participation at such a high level once again confirms this,” Kurasbediani said.
