“Georgia is a crucial player in the region, alongside, naturally, its neighbouring nations. We view this holistically, looking at the region as a whole and its immense potential in terms of connectivity,” stated Georgia’s Vice Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs, Maka Botchorishvili, on the Imedi Live show.

As the head of the foreign ministry noted, Georgia occupies a strategic position, particularly given its ability to connect to international markets via the Black Sea.

She further emphasised that Georgia’s maritime access is vital not only for the South Caucasus but also for the Central Asian countries. This factor further elevates Georgia’s role in developing regional transport and communication corridors.

Maka Botchorishvili also addressed Georgia’s role within the TRIPP project.

“Georgia is actively fulfilling this role. This is a vital region for connectivity, and regardless of how these routes develop in the future or which countries they pass through, it remains highly important and beneficial for Georgia within the framework of regional cooperation,” stated the Minister of Foreign Affairs.
