FM Botchorishvili engages with Chinese Ambassador to discuss strategic partnership
Georgian Foreign Minister Maka Botchorishvili met with Zhou Qian, the Ambassador of the People’s Republic of China to Georgia.
According to the press service of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, the Chinese Ambassador congratulated Botchorishvili on her appointment and wished her success in her new role.
During the meeting, the two parties discussed a wide range of bilateral and multilateral cooperation, with particular emphasis on the relationship fostered through the Georgia-China strategic partnership.
The conversation also explored the potential for deepening cooperation in various spheres, including political, trade-economic, tourism, cultural-humanitarian, and people-to-people exchanges.
Additionally, the parties addressed ongoing processes and challenges within the broader regional context.
The Ambassador reaffirmed China’s steadfast support for Georgia.
After the meeting, both sides expressed optimism that results-oriented cooperation between Georgia and China would continue effectively in the future.
