Uzbekistani air company Fly Khiva, on Saturday, implemented its inaugural Tashkent-Tbilisi flight at the Tbilisi International Airport, operated by TAV Georgia Company, bringing first passengers to Georgia’s capital.

Fly Khiva will operate Tbilisi-Tashkent-Tbilisi flights twice per week, on Wednesdays and Saturdays by Boeing 757-300 airplane.

Founded in 2023, Fly Khiva initially received its Air Operator Certificate to conduct cargo operations. The company launched freight flights to Europe, China, Southeast Asia, the Middle East, and Africa.

In December 2024, the airline expanded its services to include passenger operations, with Georgia becoming one of its first destinations in this new phase of development.

Fly Khiva’s fleet includes Boeing 767-300 cargo aircraft and two Boeing 757-300 passenger jets, each configured with 22 business class and 203 economy class seats.

Following ongoing negotiations with TAV Georgia, the airline also plans to commence operations at Batumi International Airport starting June 2025. Flights on the Tashkent–Batumi–Tashkent route will be operated twice a week, on Thursdays and Sundays.

In 2025, eight new airlines are set to begin operations at Tbilisi International Airport, while Batumi International Airport will welcome two new carriers.
