First Georgian wine cellar opened in Brazil

Lorangi, the first Georgian wine cellar, opened in the Goiás state of Brazil with the support of the Georgian Embassy.

According to the Foreign Ministry, guests got an opportunity to taste wines from qvevri (huge land-buried clay pots) produced with a traditional method. The visitors also enjoyed a variety of bottled wines from Georgian wine companies.

A memorial board inscribing the Georgian flag was opened in honour of the Georgian culture and traditions. Representatives of the Embassy, tourist agencies, Brazilian Sommeliers Association and journalists attended the event.
