First Deputy FM: Georgia to raise issues that Russia disregards, demonstrates destructive approach at GID
At the 60th round of the Geneva International Discussions (GID), Georgia will raise several issues, which the Russian Federation disregards and demonstrates a destructive approach, said Lasha Darsalia, First Deputy Foreign Minister.
According to Lasha Darsalia, Georgia will demand the fulfilment of the 6-point agreement, pullout of Russian troops from occupied territories, international security mechanisms and return of IDPs to their homes.
Lasha Darsalia noted that humanitarian concerns remained acute, discrimination on the ethnic ground, restrictions to free movement, unlawful detentions, murders and borderizartion continued.
“Unfortunately, the list is long. Humanitarian and human rights issues are used for political pressure. In other words, people living there are being used as hostages to put pressure on the Georgian side. All this is unacceptable,” he said, adding the support of partners was significant.
