Finnish Minister of European Affairs commends Georgia's reform progress on EU path

European enlargement is crucial for the stability and prosperity of the EU. I am pleased to observe the progress made in Georgia. The reforms implemented contribute significantly to Georgia’s advancement towards Europe, the Minister of European Affairs of the Republic of Finland, Anders Adlercreutz, remarked following his meeting with the Georgian Foreign Minister Ilia Darchiashvili in Helsinki.

Anders Adlercreutz affirmed Finland’s commitment to supporting Georgia’s journey towards European Union membership.

During his official visit to Finland on March 12-13, Ilia Darchiashvili held meetings with various Finnish officials, including the President, the Minister of Foreign Affairs, the Minister of European Affairs, representatives of the Grand Committee of the Parliament, and the chair of the ruling party’s faction in the Finnish Parliament.

According to Georgian MFA, the discussions during these meetings covered bilateral and multilateral relations between Georgia and Finland, as well as current issues on the agenda of Georgia-EU relations and the progress made in Georgia’s path towards EU accession.
