Finance Minister meets Swedish Ambassador

Finance Minister Lasha Khutsishvili held an introductory meeting with the newly appointed Ambassador of Sweden to Georgia, Anna Lieberg.

The parties discussed matters of bilateral cooperation. Special attention was paid to the ongoing projects of the Swedish International Development Agency (SIDA) in Georgia.

The Minister thanked the Ambassador for the assistance provided by the Swedish government in the field of development.

The ambassador congratulated the Georgian side on getting EU candidate country status and positively evaluated the long-term cooperation between the two countries. She expressed her willingness to promote the deepening of the partnership.

Sweden supports various areas, among them the development of democratic governance, protection of human rights, education sector, environment protection, development of trade, and private sector.
