Fencing: Sandro Bazadze finishes fifth at World Championships #1TVSPORT

Defending world champion Sandro Bazadze has finished fifth in the men’s sabre at the ongoing World Fencing Championships in Hong Kong.

The Georgian missed out on a place in the semi-finals after a 15-11 defeat against South Korea’s Guen-dong Do.

Georgia’s squad for the biggest tournament of the year featured Sandro Bazadze (sabre), Giorgi Urushadze (sabre), Aleksandre Tavartkiladze (sabre), Aleksandra Kuvaeva (sabre), and Tamila Muridova (épée).
