“Negotiations with the regime will definitely begin, but they will begin on the transfer of power, not on saving the regime,” Tamar Chergoleishvili, leader of the Federalists Party, responded to a statement by Lelo – Strong Georgia.

In a post on social media, Chergoleishvili wrote that the initiator of such dialogue will not be Lelo – Strong Georgia but the Georgian people.

“Negotiations with the regime will definitely begin, but they will begin on the transfer of power, not on saving the regime. Lelo will not be the initiator of this dialogue. The initiator will be the Georgian people, who will not leave the regime any other option,” Chergoleishvili wrote.

Earlier, Lelo – Strong Georgia released a statement following a meeting of its leadership council, saying that responsible political negotiations should begin between Georgian Dream and those opposition parties that received the support of a majority of voters in the 2024 parliamentary elections.
