Family members of detained man say it is absurd that Georgian citizen was collecting bat cocoons on occupied territory
Family members of Khvicha Mghebrishvili, the Georgian man detained by the occupational regime, describe the information as absurd as if the Georgian citizen was collecting bat cocoons on the occupied territory.
Locals of Mejvriskhevi village said that the statements of the de-facto regime are ridiculous. Mghebrishvili’s family members presume that the detained man had talked about bats under pressure or simply joked.
The de facto State Security Committee of South Ossetia reported on Thursday that Georgian citizen Khvicha Mgebrishvili intended to get the so-called “Bat cocoons”, for subsequent sale in Georgia at a price of USD 5,000 per piece.
Khvicha Mghebrishvili was detained by the occupational regime on July 3.
